I apologize for my prolonged absence from the blog.  I hate blogging about blogging and complaining about being busy, but sometimes there's justification.

I know it's no excuse, but my job has been sucking up much of my time and all of my intellectual energy the past week and a half.  It's not a bad place to be, in actuality.  It sure beats the alternative...

I hope to return later tonight with a real post.  Also, despite my lack of time and spare mental capacity, I do have a start at a short story tumbling around in my mind.  The hope is to get it written and polished up by Christmas, but we'll see how that goes.

Anyway, I have to go, my wife and sons are begging me to put down the computer.
