If you're looking for great way to celebrate Thanksgiving with some patriotic flair this year, then I suggest you serve Turkeagle at your Thanksgiving dinner this year.

I know you're wondering, what's Turkeagle?  Is that like a Tofu Turkey?

No, the Turkeagle combines two of this Nation's Symbols in one main course--it's a turkey stuffed with a bald eagle.  I can think of nothing more patriotic than eating the animal Benjamin Franklin wanted to be our national symbol in the same bite as the animal that is our official national symbol.

Disclaimer:  Killing (and/or eating) Bald Eagles is a bad idea.  It's probably a felony.  In all seriousness, thehandrew does not endorse killing endangered species or committing crimes.

The problem with a turkey of any kind, even the noble turkeagle, is that you have to wait while the plate get passed around the table for everyone to get some. Why not coil up a python or anaconda on your rotisserie? When it's all steaming hot and dripping with snake fat, you can unwind it into some kind of trough that runs the length of your banquet table. Add some boiled potatoes and carrots and all those tasty snake drippings, and you've got a feast plate that everyone can access in addition to a centerpiece with some personality. These snakes could even be fed with whatever animals you want prior to being killed and cooked. You could have an Anarabbiduckachickaturkey.

I like it...
The snake, incidentally, is also a patriotic symbol, depicted on the First Navy Jack and the Gadsden Flag.
